Biography
I am an AI Scientist at Helmholtz Munich, Institute for Intelligent Biotechnologies (iBIO), Munich, Germany. I joined the Ertürk Lab in May 2026, where my work focuses on Agentic AI for science — building systems that can plan, reason, and act across scientific workflows.
Before Munich, I worked as a Scientist at the Max Delbrück Center (MDC-BIMSB) in Berlin, Germany on structure-based drug design and bioinformatics. I studied Chemistry at METU in Ankara, Turkey, with research in graph representation learning, deep learning for single-cell and spatial transcriptomics, and de novo drug design.
Outside work, I enjoy running and cycling, and occasionally make educational animations in quantum chemistry with Manim.
Research interests
Agentic AI for science, machine learning for biology and chemistry, structure-based drug design, graph neural networks, and multi-omics data integration.
